During the last four years, Åkers Krutbruk Protection AB has gone through a remarkable transformation to become a world-class supplier of advanced protection for military vehicles.
- Niclas Sahlgren has been a key person in the development of the company since he came aboard four years ago. We are very satisfied that he has determined to continue to remain a strong force in Åkers Krutbruk’s expansion and growth, says Ulf Deisenroth, President and CTO of IBD Deisenroth Engineering Group and board member of Åkers Krutbruk.
- Åkers Krutbruk has an exciting future and I have decided to invest in the company to guarantee further development on a long-term basis. Shared ownership was a natural next step, says Niclas Sahlgren, CEO and new investor in Åkers Krutbruk.
Åkers Krutbruk, founded in 1552, became privately owned in 1991. After the privatisation an extensive modernisation of products and quality control systems was made. In 2003, Åkers Krutbruk was fully acquired by the IBD Deisenroth Engineering Group. Now IBD holds 51 % and Niclas Sahlgren 49 % of the shares in Åkers Krutbruk Protection AB.
